Displaying prices in different currencies

If you sell worldwide, you can display prices in your store in the customers native currency so that it’s easier for them to understand the cost of a product. For this, you can use apps from the App Market: the Currency Converter app or the Auto Currency Switcher app. Both apps automatically convert your prices and show them in the customer’s currency.

Converting currency with the Currency Converter app

The Currency Converter app converts your store's currency to your client’s native currency based on their location. If needed, customers can select another currency right in your storefront and see the recalculated prices immediately:

To use the app:

1. From your store admin, go to Apps → App Market.
2. Find the Currency Converter app and click Install. The app will automatically define the country of the buyer and convert all the prices into their native currency.
3. After the app is installed, go to the Settings → Currency Converter and set up how the currency converter is displayed in your store, specify the price format and choose the currencies that will be available for converting prices on the storefront.

Converting currency with the Auto Currency Switcher app

The Auto Currency Switcher app converts the prices in your store based on the site visitor's location. The customer will see the price in their currency. For example, if you have all prices in US dollars, and your customer is from the UK, they will see prices in pounds:

To use the app:

1. From your store admin, go to Apps → App Market.
2. Find the Auto Currency Switcher app and click Install.
3. Open the app and turn on the App enabled toggle.
4. After the app is installed, go to the Settings → Auto Currency Switcher and choose which currencies to display to buyers.
5. (optional) Turn on the Auto switch to visitor's currency toggle so that shoppers can browse products in their native currency.
6. (optional) Turn on the Hide original price toggle to hide original prices on a product page and in the cart. If disabled, it will show the new currency price next to the original price.
