Selling on eBay with the Koongo app
eBay is one of the biggest online marketplaces worldwide. You can bring your online store catalog to eBay and start offering your brand directly on the marketplace. omnichannel approach to selling can help your brand reach more customers in more places and drive sales.
To start selling on the marketplace, connect your online store to eBay through the Koongo app from the App Market. The connection process includes creating the Product and Product Remove feeds and syncing orders between your online store and eBay. After you connect your online store to eBay, your online catalog appears on eBay, so that shoppers can order your goods directly on the marketplace.

Requirements for selling on eBay
To sell on eBay via the Koongo app, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Your store is located in the United States, Australia, Austria, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK.
- Register an account on eBay and verify it following the instructions sent to your email.
- Comply with the eBay Business Policies.
- Configure your eBay account settings according to eBay policies.
- Your products have SKU and EAN/UPC assigned as product attributes. That is needed to connect your online store to eBay through the Koongo app.
Connecting your store with eBay through the Koongo app
When you connect your store online store with eBay, you sync your product catalog so that it appears on the marketplace. At the same time, you sync orders between platforms so that they appear both in your eBay account and in store.
To connect your store with eBay via the Koongo app:
- From your store admin, go to Apps → App Market.
- Find the Koongo app and click Install.
- Click Open Koongo account. You will be redirected to your Koongo account.
- In the menu on the left, navigate to Marketplaces & Ads and click Add Integration.
- Choose eBay.
- Answer the questions in the popup. Choose to sync orders so that they appear in your store. Click Continue.
- Click Start eBay Wizard.
- In the Marketplace dropdown, select your country. In the Mode dropdown, select Production. Then click Connect eBay account.
- Login to your eBay account and click Continue.
- Click Get Account Settings to proceed with connection setup.
- In the Payment dropdown, select Payment. In the Inventory location dropdown, select your location. Then click Continue.
- In the Set up eBay identifiers section, all identifiers will be automatically set up to the correct ones, so click Continue.
- In the Listings section, you can choose how to list your items on eBay and choose a selling strategy. Once done, click Continue.
- In the Products section, you can choose what items to publish on eBay—the entire catalog or selected items. Once done, click Continue.
- In the Categories section, click + Map Categories to assign categories to your products. eBay uses their own categories in the product feed, so categories in your store should match eBay categories. Once done, click Continue.
- In the Attributes section, map your category attributes to all mandatory eBay attributes. In the Category Attributes table, check if products require adding additional attributes. Once done, click Continue.
- In the Orders section, select how you want your orders to sync. Once done, click Continue.
- Check the list of your products that will be synced to eBay. If everything’s correct, click Activate Sync.
That’s it. Now your product catalog will appear on eBay where people can find your brand and purchase it directly from the marketplace.
Processing orders from eBay
When someone buys your product on eBay, a new order will appear in the My sales → Orders section in your store admin. You will get notification about a new order with an email or a push notification in the mobile app for iOS or Android.
Orders are synced between your online store and eBay accounts. That means, when you change the status of an order in your store admin and/or add a tracking number, this information is sent to eBay. And vice versa. As a result, you can manage the order processing both from store or eBay admin.
You need to fulfill orders and ship them with the help of eBay or by yourself.
