Adding size charts to products

A sizing chart provides a range of sizes and corresponding measurements, such as waist or hip, to help customers select their best fit for clothing, footwear, accessories, etc.

You can add customizable size charts to product categories in your store to show the difference between product sizes and provide measurement tips. A size chart is automatically attached to product pages for all the category items, and customers can open it in a pop-up.

Creating size charts for product categories

You can create size charts for product categories in your store using pre-designed, customizable templates. By default, a size chart template includes a sample table with sizes and corresponding measurements, as well as tips on how to measure, but you can include any other guidance, like images or videos, using the built-in text editor.

To create a size chart for a product category:

1. From your store admin, go to Settings → General → Cart & Checkout.
2. Scroll down to the Size charts block, then click Add Size Chart. 
3. On the opened page, click + Create Size Chart.
4. Select a template that suits your size chart best (for example, “Footwear”).
5. Edit the size chart template so that it reflects your sizing range and click Next Step.
6. Select a product category to attach this size chart to, then click Apply. One size chart can belong to several categories.
7. Click Create and Display to publish the size chart, or click Create Without Display to finish creating the size chart without making it available for customers on product pages. You can enable or disable size charts later.

That’s it! You’ve created a size chart and assigned it to a product category. If the size chart is currently enabled, it will be displayed on product pages for all the category items. Customers can click the “Size chart” link to view it in the pop-up on the right side of the page:

To add more size charts to your store, go to Settings → General → Cart & Checkout → Manage Size Charts or to Catalog → Size Charts.

Editing size charts

After you add a size chart to your store, you can edit it. For example, if later you want to give more detailed instructions on how to take body measurements, or you want to attach the size chart to another store category.

To edit a size chart:

1. Go to Catalog → Size Charts. On the opened page, you will see a list of size charts that you’ve created.
2. Click Actions → Edit for the size chart that you want to adjust.
3. Edit the size chart name and content and/or assign it to another store category.
4. Click Save.

That’s it! Now the updated size chart will appear in your store.

Enabling, disabling, and deleting size charts

You can enable, disable, or permanently delete size charts that you have in your store. If you disable a size chart, it is no longer displayed on product pages. You can enable the size chart back when you need it.

To manage size charts:

1. Go to Catalog → Size Charts. On the opened page, you will see a list of size charts that you’ve created.
2. To enable or disable a specific size chart in your store, switch the toggle next to it:
   
3. To delete the size chart completely, click Actions → Delete and confirm deletion.

Changing the size chart link position on the product page

You can change where the size chart link appears on the product page in your store. For example, if you want to display it right below the product name.

To change the size chart link position on the product page:

1. From your store admin, go to Design.
2. Scroll to Sidebar.
3. Drag and drop the Size chart link element.

The changes are saved automatically.
